12 Week DBT Skills Group (16+) Currently Running.  New members can join at the start of the next module on December 5th
Alicia Ayvas, LCSW was trained in DBT in 2009 at Columbia University and is overseeing the Monday night group that will be run by Katie Sharpe, LSW. The group is energetic, educational, and targets all 4 modules in DBT and will leave clients with a comprehensive binder of all of the skills learned throughout the group.

Issues: Eating Disorders / Trauma / Self Harm / Depression /Anxiety / OCD

Slip Up, Set Back's, and RELAPSE'S: An Eating Disorder Recovery Support Group - CURRENTLY ENROLLING MEMBERS


This Support Group will be meeting every Wednesday evening in the Gainesville office at 4pm-5pm starting March 6th. This group is meant for individuals who are in recovery from an eating disorder.  Members are committed to recovery and looking to have a safe environment to grow in their recovery while reviewing learned skills in a process style group with skills woven into the hour.   Each week the group leader with work with members to focus on a different topic in a safe and confidential environment to grow in a like free of an eating disorder. The group will be an open group, therefore all are welcome after receiving an initial assessment by the group leader to make sure it is a good fit! This group will be run by an eating disorder specialized and/or CEDS certified therapist

 


Issues: Eating Disorders and Feeding Disorders
Gender: All
Age:  15 - 25yrs

When: This group meets every Wednesday at 5pm - 6pm and has a rolling admission after members receive an assessment with an eating disorder specialist prior to starting. 

 

 

The group has a fee of $60 per group and receipts are provided to submit to insurance.

 


Teen Process Group - CURRENTLY ENROLLING MEMBERS


The Teen Process Group will be meeting every Thursday evening in the Gainesville office. This group is meant for individuals who struggle with anxiety, depression, mood instability, are in recovery from an eating disorder and who are commitment to working toward being behavior free. This group is a safe place to process thoughts and feelings and to gain education, skills, and preventative tools to apply in real life situations. Each week the group leader with work with members to focus on a different topic in a safe and confidential environment. The group will be an open group, therefore all are welcome after receiving an initial assessment by the group leader to make sure it is a good fit!


Issues: Anxiety, Depression, Mood Disorder, Eating Disorders and Disordered Eating, Trauma

Age: Teens (13 - 18yrs)

ZOOM Group For Parents and Supports

Topic: Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Information Session

(Topics will change monthly)

 

 

This NEW monthly meeting is meant to help bridge the gap in treatment by providing information and coaching to parents and supports.  May's topic will focus on DBT and provide an overview of the 12-week DBT skills group offered here at Clarity.  This is a great way for parents and supports to learn and understand what the upcoming DBT skills groups will be focusing on.

 

Alicia Ayvas, LCSW, CEDS-S, Clarity's Founder and Executive Director, is excited to offer this new monthly meeting, and hopes to focus on different topics each month for education, coaching and support.  

 


Issues: Parents & supports who have loved ones in treatment for mental health disorders or illnesses

Where: All meetings will be offered via a Zoom meeting.  All participants must register prior to the group to receive an invite for access

The Zoom group has a fee of $25 per individual and $40 per family, however May's ZOOM meeting will be free for all families and supports who has a loved one enrolled in the DBT Skills group starting this May.
