VIRTUAL 12 Week DBT Skills Group is on Thursday's at 3:30 - 5pm (16 - 21 yrs) and 5 - 6:30 (22yrs and older) .  We are enrolling now for our two new groups, starting January 28th over ZOOM

Alicia Ayvas, LCSW was trained in DBT in 2009 at Columbia University and is overseeing the Thursday night group that will be run by Katie Bowler, LCSW. The group is energetic, educational, and targets all 4 modules in DBT and will leave clients with a comprehensive binder of all of the skills learned throughout the group.

Issues: Eating Disorders / Trauma / Self Harm / Depression /Anxiety / OCD
Gender: All
Age: These groups are for ages 16yrs +.  
Where: From the comfort of your own home (we will be using ZOOM as the virtual platform)

When: Thursday's at 3:30 - 5:00 (16 - 21 year old's) and  5:00 - 6:30pm (22 +)
Cost: $80 per group (members must commit to all 12 sessions with consent for group leader to communicate with primary therapist)

Virtual Group


Starting February 3rd at 5-6pm

Our world has been flipped upside down over the last few months and Clarity Counseling hopes to provide more support to our teens!

This group will provide teens with skills to manage stress and anxiety and build resilience.  We also will process together the changes to come this school year.  Each week, we will learn new coping skills inspired by Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and talk about how to use the skills in everyday life.  


Issues: Transitions, Anxiety, Worry, Stress, Depression, Coping during COVID-19, Virtual School 
Gender: All
Age:  13 - 17yrs
Where: From the comfort of your own home   (We will be using ZOOM as the virtual platform)

When: This group will meet for 8 weeks every Wednesday at 5:00pm - 6:00pm



The group has a fee of $60 per group and receipts are provided to submit to insurance.




Starting February 4th at 5-6pm

The purpose of this new group is to provide a safe space to process events during the week where we could have used skills to prevent problem behaviors or we acted on action urges.  The group will provide feedback to other members on how they could have used skills and more practical uses for the skills.


Group members must have previously learned DBT skills from the DBT Skills Group at Clarity or at another treatment center/provider.  Please call or email to sign up for this ongoing group starting Wednesday, January 6th at 6-7pm on Zoom.  The group will be $60 per session with a receipt for reimbursement.

Young Adult Process Group (20 - 30 years old)  - CURRENTLY ENROLLING MEMBERS

The Young Adult Process Group will be meeting every Monday over ZOOM. This group is meant for individuals who struggle with anxiety, depression, mood instability, are in recovery from an eating disorder and who are commitment to working toward being behavior free. This group is a safe place to process thoughts and feelings and to gain education, skills, and preventative tools to apply in real life situations. Each week the group leader with work with members to focus on a different topic in a safe and confidential environment. The group will be an open group, therefore all are welcome after receiving an initial assessment by the group leader to make sure it is a good fit!

Issues: Anxiety, Depression, Mood Disorder, Eating Disorders and Disordered Eating, Trauma

Age: Young Adults (20 - 30yrs)

Where: From the comfort of your own home (we will be using ZOOM as the virtual platform)

  When: Monday's 6-7pm (currently enrolling group members, this will be an ongoing group)

FREE Zoom Parent Support  


This group is intended to provide a safe space for parents to connect with others to freely process their role in the recovery process.  Currently we have a mix of parents where clients are stepping down from RTC, others with children in HLOC, and OP.  The intent is provide support to parents who are on the front lines and to provide support during these very challenging

ZOOM Group For Parents and Supports

Topic: DBT What is it and how can we use it during these uncertain times?

This NEW monthly meeting is meant to help bridge the gap in treatment by providing information and coaching to parents and supports.  June's topic will focus on DBT and provide an overview of the 12-week DBT skills group offered here at Clarity.  This is a great way for parents and supports to learn and understand what the upcoming DBT skills groups will be focusing on.


Alicia Ayvas, LCSW, CEDS-S, Clarity's Founder and Executive Director, is excited to offer this new monthly meeting, and hopes to focus on different topics each month for education, coaching and support.  


Issues: Parents & supports who have loved ones in treatment for mental health disorders or illnesses

Where: All meetings will be offered via a Zoom meeting.  All participants must register prior to the group to receive an invite for access
